Heritage Day
Heritage Day is more than a day of fun it’s a celebration of the people, stories, and traditions that have shaped Middleville for generations.
Founded in 1834 along the Thornapple River, Middleville has grown from a small milling settlement into a vibrant village built on community spirit, hard work, and a love for gathering together. The river powered our early industries, Main Street connected local families and businesses, and our parks and public spaces have long been places where neighbors meet, celebrate, and support one another.
Heritage Day honors that history. It’s a time for residents, visitors, and families who’ve called Middleville home for decades to come together and celebrate what makes our community unique. From classic smalltown traditions like parades and car shows to new favorites like food trucks, live music, and family activities, each part of the day reflects the character of Middleville — welcoming, closeknit, and proud of its roots.
By celebrating our Heritage, we’re not just remembering the past. We’re strengthening the connections that keep our village moving forward. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much we can build together.
We hope you’ll join us honoring Middleville’s story and celebrating the people who continue to make it such a special place to call home.
