What it does
The Middleville Downtown Development Authority (DDA) supports the growth, vitality and appeal of the of the village’s downtown district. It invests in projects that strengthen local businesses, improve public spaces, host community events, and enhance the overall economic and social vibrancy of the heart of the community.
Why it Exists
The DDA was created to combat downtown decline and ensure the long-term health of Middleville’s central business district. Through focused planning and reinvestment of captured tax dollars, the DDA provides a structured way for the community to revitalize its downtown, attract new opportunity, and create a thriving gathering place for residents and visitors.
Short term goal
Reenergize downtown Middleville through marketing and promotion, support for existing and new businesses, filling vacant storefronts, strengthening services, and restoring the activity and community pride residents remember.
Long term goal
Support lasting economic vitality in the DDA district by encouraging reinvestment and well-planned development that enhances quality of life, supports local businesses, and grows with the Village over time.
