SUMMARY:Heritage Day
DESCRIPTION:Heritage Day is more than a day of fun it’s a celebration of the people, stories, and traditions that have shaped Middleville for generations.\nFounded in 1834 along the Thornapple River, Middleville has grown from a small milling settlement into a vibrant village built on community spirit, hard work, and a love for gathering together. The river powered our early industries, Main Street connected local families and businesses, and our parks and public spaces have long been places where neighbors meet, celebrate, and support one another.\nHeritage Day honors that history. It’s a time for residents, visitors, and families who’ve called Middleville home for decades to come together and celebrate what makes our community unique. From classic smalltown traditions like parades and car shows to new favorites like food trucks, live music, and family activities, each part of the day reflects the character of Middleville — welcoming, closeknit, and proud of its roots.\nBy celebrating our Heritage, we’re not just remembering the past. We’re strengthening the connections that keep our village moving forward. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much we can build together.\nWe hope you’ll join us honoring Middleville’s story and celebrating the people who continue to make it such a special place to call home.\nHeritage Day – July 11th in Downtown Middleville\nJoin us in Downtown Middleville on Saturday, July 11th, for a full day of community fun at Heritage Day!\nThe celebration kicks off at 10:00 AM with the parade down Main Street, followed by a great lineup of activities for all ages:\n• Cornhole Tournament from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM\n• Charlie Pullen Memorial Car Show from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM\n– This year’s theme: Sock Hop, with music by DJ Yon of Venue 120 throughout the event\n• Food Trucks serving delicious options from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM\n• Foam Party from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM\n• Rotary Duck Race starting at the Dam and ending at the boat launch\n• Live Music from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Amphitheater featuring Jared Knox and the Hagerbobs\n• Kids’ activities and more happening all afternoon\nWrap up the day by supporting our local Fire Department at their Turkey Dinner from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.\nCome celebrate community, tradition, and summer fun — we can’t wait to see you there!\n
